There are two basic approaches to measuring whether your website is a winner or a loser. 

  1. How does it perform as a business tool.
  2. How it is received by its target audience.

If you ranked your site as ... an under achiever ... you can be sure that its visitors had already figured out its weaknesses long ago.

While this survey is admittedly basic, it does address the user issues that are considered most important.  Without doubt, the number one reason that websites fail is they do not satisfy the needs of their target audiences. 

A perfect score may not guarantee success, but you must eliminate the NO's to have a chance.

It is relatively easy to get visitors to come to a website...once.  If you don't provide what they want or need, don't expect them to come back a second time.
